Xavi's farewell press conference was today. He's headed to play for Al Sadd in Qatar.

"I'd like to announce that I'm leaving Barça after this season. The decision is definitive yet difficult. I think now is the time to leave, that's the way I feel.”

Xavi: "I think the Qatar project is nice, and it's ideal for me. In the future I'd like to come back to Barça."

"I'm very happy. I couldn't have had a better career," admits Xavi

Got to see him a few years ago when Barcelona toured in the States. Most gifted professional I've seen in person in any sport.

In Qatar, he'll have to face the managerial wits of one Michael Laudrup.

Even Randy´s beloved Maureen the bus driver said yesterday in a special press conference (where he came out to speak only of Xavi):

´He´s one of the best players of the last decade, and deserved something he´ll never have, the Ballon D´Or.´

Yeah, he's pretty good at pressing the Y and RB + Y, that's for sure.
