Wow...€40M for Falcao...

just read this on twitter...

Porto paid €3.930M for Falcao back in the summer of 2009. 72 goals & 6 trophies later, he's gone - at an immediate profit of €36M.

That's a hell of a two year profit.

frick Falcao. He surpassed Jurgen's record for most goals in Europa league play in a season.

I wouldn't worry too much. They will just go buy another South American for a few mil that will step right in and not miss a beat then pocket the rest.

The real question is if Athletico paid 40mil for Falcao how much does City or Chelsea pay for him in two years?

Yeah but that is because he is dreaming of Forlan's hair flowing in the breeze.

Agreed. I mean im not upset at how they flipped him for such a huge profit obviously, just sucks cause I thought they could make a real run in the champions league this year, still might.

Kleber I think will have a break out year. And at least they turned down the 80 million euro bid on hulk

Porto will still go a long way in Champion's League. They still have James Rodriguez who had a baller U-20 World Cup for host, Columbia. They brought over Belgian, Steven Defour, and now have room for Argentina's next Messi, Juan Iturbe to try to break into the team. They signed 20 year old, Brazilian wing backs/midfielders: Danilo and Alex Sandro from Santos. Who are also on the U-20 Brazil team in the final. And Djalma Campos, a 24 year old Angolan speedster.

And now have 40 million to spend on more players. FC Porto are the blueprint to building a champion club system.

If Defour can stay healthy he will be a hell of a signing. He could be the next one Porto makes a quick profit on.

They also signed this Brazilian striker named Kleber who reminds me a lot of the Falcao signing by Porto two years ago. Mostly due to the price tag, and goal-ability.

Also they signed a new 6'2, 20 year old, French defender named Eliaquim Mangala(nice name). Don't know much about him except he didn't make the U-20 team in Columbia.
