Euro Cup in Lyon

I'm going to be in Lyon for a study abroad program for 7 weeks this summer and noticed that 3 or 4 games will be played in the city while I'm there. Does anyone have any insight as to what prices I can expect to pay and how to go about attempting to get tickets? Are secondary market tickets a viable option?

Saw a game at Stade Gerland two summers ago. We just walked up and bought tickets at the gate. This was for a friendly though so idk about Euro Cup

I hate my life haha. Free credits in Europe is a nice perk though

To answer your question, it's the European Championship. Sort of like the World Cup, but obviously only for European teams. I have no idea at all how hard it will be to get tickets but you're extremely lucky because 99% of the time the LSU Law trip to France comes when there's no soccer whatsoever.
Wiki on Euro 2016
Looks like the matches in Lyon are:
Romania v Albania
Ukraine v Northern Ireland
Belgium v Italy
Hungary v Portugal
Plus a round of 16 match on June 26th and one of the semi finals on July 6th

Thanks, I used to be a regular here but work then law school got in the way haha.
I've checked out the matches and Belgium v Italy should be an awesome match. It would be great to see the #2 player in the world play in a competitive game in Europe too. Realistically, I'll probably end up at Romania v Albania or Ukraine v Ireland because of availability/price

Sorry I didn't see the Chelsea crest until just now and thought you were just interested in seeing some soccer while in Europe.
Once you get over there I'm sure you'll be able to find out what you need to do to get tickets. Whatever you don't waste your time studying, the exams are notoriously easy.

Ireland
Nope the Irish, along with the English, Welsh and Northern Ireland are going to be like locusts in every city they play in.
Tickets are not going to be easy to get for almost any match. B/c getting them from third party sellers isn't legal. Your best bet is to look at the Uefa website right now but chances are nothing will be there until very close to the matches. The local university might get free tickets if by chance a match isn't sold out.
What will be fun is going to the public viewings with the fans who didn't get tickets to see their team.

It looks like tickets have only been applied for and not distributed so far. I did notice a sort of ticket market place on the UEFA website, but I'm not holding out too much hope.

Luckily LSU really likes a good LSAT score so I'm going without loans. Slightly more money for tickets/travel/wine
