Yeah I remember that thread. I also remember this one. LINK

and this one. LINK

I've been talking about Pirlo for a long time on this board. I'm glad he's finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Not sure how I missed both of those threads considering that I have checked the SB virtually every half-hour for the past 3 years.

The article in the first thread was eerily similar to my post in that other Pirlo thread. This paragraph gave me chills:

quote:

Pirlo may never have been coached by Guardiola, but when asked whom he considered his "maestro," he was quick to respond. "Pep Guardiola. In this role, he has been a model. Or rather, the model: for his vision of the game, his calmness and his passing ability. Thanks to him, Barcelona is the now the finest team in Europe. It's so impressive, the speed with which they circulate the ball."

That was one of the best posts ever on this board.

I tried. It seems like you and Crazy submit weekly claims for that honor. There are no better posters than you two, IMO

You're going to make me blush.

I found this thread which was one of the most interesting to re-read for me. LINK

Other than some cattiness, it shows why the SB is the best board on this website.

Great thread

Once again though, I missed it. I know I was in Europe during that one, but I still managed to check the board every day. Very strange.

Spain wins this final. Claiming their historic third straight major tournament. Mario Balotelli won't have the game he had today against Germany. Hate to be on Dandy's side on this one but Espana will win. I loathe the Italians!

I just need Super Mario to knock one in early off a Pirlo assist and I'll be fine with Silva and Ramos scoring hat tricks after.

Crazy hadn't fully converted me to the Church of DLPology at that time. I'm a believer now.

I'm glad I could convert someone. The DLP has been an obsession of mine for some time.

Truly, who is better at influencing a match on it's highest level than either Xavi or Pirlo? The answer is zero.

We're all so lucky to have Michael Cox posting on our board.

PS: arsenal beat writer for the mirror said this:

quote:

Recall Cesc Fabregas lecturing Mark Hughes once on how to play football, don't be defensive, come out and play etc. Seems a bit rich now.

Wow. What a fricking idiot.

This game has a chance to be a giant 0-0 snoozefest. It also has a chance to be the most exciting 0-0 game ever.

Therefore:

Spain wins 3-1

No chance. Italy has more attacking talent and as good of defending as Spain. I really think Italy is going to win.

Well they have a striker so I guess that gives them more attacking talent...

Odds Llorente starts?

Even though he should, Zero chance he starts. Cesc is awesome, but up top against the Azurri won't work out well.
