Shout out to SCH and other DC United fans. Capacity appears to be around 22K. The club wants to get as much capacity as possible within the confines without negatively impacting the fan experience and comfort.

I like it. I like the high rising stand on one side; I think it adds formidity and presence. I really like the use of trees to offer shade, greenery, and to break up the urban concretescape. I like the presence of quirks like the unusually shaped end stand; it adds character and uniqueness. I like the presence of open green space next to the stadium. I like that the stands continue through the corners on one end. Yet probably what I enjoy most is the location of the stadium and just how snug it fits into the city environment. This is a true urban stadium with streets right up next to the structure as if it has been there for a long time.

I would prefer that the roof encompass three sides and extend over the large end stand. And they need to plant an extra row of trees on one end of the open green space to screen off the adjacent electrical power equipment. Otherwise there is a lot to like in these renderings IMO.

I'm actually really excited by this. I grew up going to DC United games, and this is a big step forward for the club. Though truthfully, they could have a rendering of a cardboard box and I would be excited for it over RFK

Yes, supposedly this is the fifth or sixth set of designs the club has released to the public. I have to believe these latest releases are close to the end product. Work of a subterranean nature is underway; apparently there is a great amount of underground infrastructure related to the old power equipment on the site and equipment still in use nearby. Due to this underground infrastructure no excavation will be involved with the stadium construction. Pitch will be at street level and everything will be vertical.

It looks like they are renovating the nearby bridge and creating a large traffic oval for distribution to go along with a nice boulevard and some marinas. If these visions come to fruition the whole area could awaken.

It looks a bit like the Mestalla in Valencia, or bears a resemblance to other Spanish stadia.

Maybe, Dandy Lion can provide a better point of reference.
