Probably not. I paid "retail" for about five of those shirts (if that.)

What's your secret?

I could've sworn Holden wore #7 at Bolton before he changed to #22 last season.

You should definitely post this on the MSB.

Scour eBay. I recently bought a used Ronaldo kit for $18 + $4 shipping. It is real (well, you know the good quality replicas).

Patience, and getting a grasp on what constitutes a good price for a given shirt.

Found a Diego Forlan Inter Milan jersey for $20 on eBay the other day, pulled the trigger on it today. It's a couple of years old, but it was new and still had the tags on it.

Also, the Jay Demerit Watford shirt and Bradley Aston Villa shirt are both on my list. I've got a Bradley shirt from damn near every team he's played for. I'm willing to pay a king's ranson for it.

I lucked into the Demerit shirt a couple months ago. I was committed to having to "make" one (i.e. source the jersey, and the letters - a real pain with the old style in red), and then one popped up (with sleeve patches and everything) on eBay. It couldn't have cost more than $30 delivered from the UK.

For whatever reason, that season's Villa jerseys are a real PITA to locate. The black one from that year is BADASS.

The good news is that if you find one, getting a letter set is easy.

How do you put letters on when you get a set? I would think a normal iron wouldn't work (or at least, it wouldn't work if I tried to do it).

Get a professional to do it. Most places will do it for a couple bucks. I prefer a soccer place (like Third Coast) because they understand what it should look like and are less likely to frick it up than Ye Olde Corner Sporting Goods Store.

Where do you find the lettering and numbers?

I'm looking for the style that USA used in 2002 world cup.

There's a guy from Malaysia on eBay that does good work.

He did the lettering for the Reyna, Dempsey, McBride and Onyewu US jerseys. It's not 100% perfect, but it's close.

And there are no options for authentic - so that's the best you're gonna do.

ETA: This Guy

ETA2: Just email him if you want a different player in that style.
