I just have a hard time with plays like that. He really was doing no more than clearing the ball. Other guy came in at the wrong time and got hit. I know by the rules it's red, but idk.

If you can't do it safely, don't do it. It's not like the Venezuela player came out off no where.

Looks like Jamaica has no desire to play defense. Guy dribbles into the box, just keep backing up and give him a 5 yard cushion.

In other news, Cobi Jones is unbearable.

At least they aren't parking the bus. This has been a pretty decent match to watch considering the quality of the teams.

I was just about to post your exact post. Dr. Joe offers absolutely nothing that can't be asked to him at halftime or after the game or never.

The announcers are mostly awful and this game did not need a one-hour pregame.

I wonder how many rules-based conversations these fricktards have on average per game. I feel like the entire broadcast is just a discussion of the laws of the game

Fox and Sky Sports are owned by the same company (News Corporation). Why aren't they using Sky's commentators like Martin Tyler or Ian Darke da gawd?

Well the rules in soccer are very simple. As long as nothing very unusual happens, they don't need an expert.

Sky might not have the rights. I feel like Uncle Murdoch tries to use their feed whenever he can

Why is there a commercial that says, "For the US, the road to Russia begins now" when promoting the game on Tuesday?

Anyone see the Mexifans in the stands with the big mexican flag covering an entire section.well almost an entire section..Uruguay fans were sitting in that section and wanted no part in having the mexican flag draped on top of them

Looks like a mostly sold out crowd.

at them saying the fans are "hostile"

Many Mexico fans acted like rude assholes when they played U.S. a few years ago in that same stadium.
