Yea in 6v6 the better teams will just have the most versatile players and won't play a real formation, but just be constantly moving.

We play a 2-1-2 but rotate around the positions. Also if you are up top you are expected to get back to at least midfield and help on D. It's bad to get too many people up in attack and get caught on the counter. Having the communication to make sure someone is back is key.

Have you ever played soccer in Sub-Saharan Africa by any chance?

Almost that good, but the field is a little smoother and has more grass in the Congo.

Well yesterday the problem was huge puddles all over the field. Dribbling or passing along the ground was made virtually impossible.

Was wondering how those fields had "held up" over the years...I believe most of the turf...if you want to call it that, was actually laid directly on top of the existing runway and tarmac areas of the old municipal airport. This construction "error", is what leads to the many turf failure issues.
Any way, it's back to Burbank by July...hopefully !

True. We usually have one guy that stays up and one that stays back. The rest are interchangeable. The field is TINY even for 6v6. The bad teams have bad/mediocre players who aren't versatile, so they try to stick players where they're strongest, but this only leads to them getting pulled out of position due to the better teams not really playing any real formation, and just moving constantly. This is only exacerbated by the weaker teams' lack of communication and it just gets ugly usually. Best bet in small sided games is to just have really versatile players and you don't have to worry too much about who ends up playing where.
