Watched the game on last night before going out. Ramsey had a really excellent game. Worked between the lines really well.
Our defense is really poor in general, and Mertesacker needs some time to develop some muscle, as it seems like he doesn't have the strength to deal with this league quite yet. Koscielny had the same problem last year, and this year he looks excellent. Santos is a terrible LB, and looks more out of shape than Arshavin. He's good as an attacker though. Walcott had his best game as an Arsenal player I thought. The first sitter he set up for Gervinho was a sublime ball, and that ball he set up for Van Persie was uncanny. Song had a decent game, but I thought something interesting was Vermaelean's inclusion in the game. He played as a midfielder, and I think this might be something we might see more of. He certainly has the technique to play as a DM, and he could help us there on some occasions.

I thought our D played well in the second half, but awful in the first half. Djourou, Mertesacker, and Santos all looked horrific in the opening 45, but they played pretty well the 2nd 45. Santos will be fine I think. Considering he's only ever played in Brazil and Turkey some kinks are to be expected early on. Definitely more of a winger than a LB though.
Song was solid. His piece of skill to get past Ramires then pass to Santos for the goal was top class. I've mentioned before Vermaelen should get some PT at DM, but it's never really worked out with our CB situation. I avoided all sites and humans that might mention the score until I had a chance to watch the game this afternoon. I am so glad I did that and didn't peek. What a great game and big win for the Gunners.

I just got around to watching it and my dvr didnt record any of the 2nd half. Im pissed.
