I'm unsure of that. His mother recently said he wants to go to PSG. Plus he may want to distance his club play from the English FA as much as possible.

Stupid policy.

Maybe so, but not much to say except hope for an exception.

Wouldn't be anywhere near as good"

Maybe not, but hopefully we can get someone who wants to play for us and can contribute right away. I'll miss Cole if he leaves, but I think we could move forward easily.

Possibly, I was basing it on comments he made before that incident so maybe it did change his feelings on the matter.

I hope you're right but for me he's the best, or in the top couple, of best LBs in the world. His work rate is unbelievable and he's one of the leaders on the team and has great chemistry with JT on the left side of our backline. I think he would be very, very difficult to replace, at least in the short term.

He may want to stay, but he also wants his pay to improve and to be signed to a multi-year deal. France has a lot of upside for a player like him. Higher pay, multi-year deal, play for his old boss, play in a much less physical league which would help to maximize the duration of his career, live in Paris, play with Zlatan, PLAY WITH ZLATAN!

I am not familiar with England's taxing but France is proposing increasing the income tax to 75% of France's wealthiest earners (those over $1M Euro annually). One would think this would be a big factor in making this move. Any argument against keeping Cole is full of "maybes" and "hopefully we get a player almost as good" which to me isn't worth it.

If you think Roman is going to let one of his best players muscle his way out in the middle of a season, you don't know Roman very well. He'll throw his arse in the U21's and eat the transfer fee and let him go for free after his contract is up before he just lets Cole walk away to Paris in the middle of a hotly contested season.

Cole at least finishes the season at Stamford Bridge.

I believe I read somewhere that the club pays the taxes. I'm not positive though.

This team is so sloppy without Terry back there.

It's a meme called "sudden clarity clarence" where you realize something you should have a while ago .

e.g

The thing is after the game against Shaktar I was like whew we can afford to lose at Juve now, but I was starring at the standings at HT and realized we can't

It would be tough, but a loss wouldn't eliminate us.

It technically won't but I expect Juve to draw @ Shaktar meaning we would be eliminated.
