Patrick Bamford recalled from loan. Bad sign for Costa.

Dude, IF Costa was leaving, a guy who can't even get on the field for Burnley would not be his replacement.

We're recalling him because he wasn't playing, and there are other teams interested in him.

Bamfordinho's loan recall has been in the works for awhile now. Prob time to get him off the books to whomever wants him.

Even if Costa actually wants to leave, they'll probably sit him down and say, "Help us win the league, and we'll let you go this summer." It's just not going to be possible to buy a top striker in January.

I'll be sad if he leaves, but I can't criticize any man who's about to pocked 30-40 million a year. It'll be much easier to see him go if we get 100 million in return and can buy Griezmann, Aubameyang, etc.

I don't want to talk about rumors, though. Let's talk about that performance. That team did not look distracted or divided out there today. What a performance from everybody!

Looked like Ake's recall lit a fire under Alonso.

It may be that Conte completely re-examines his system.

If he doesn't though, based on what he'd done in the past, I think he may try Hazard some at second striker but he'll also set Chelsea up in a 3-4-3 pretty often.

Also, look at wm72 calling Conte's move before anybody else, before the season even began

Yáll got to let Diego Costa go back to AtM at a reasonable price. He´d be happy there.

ETA Good to see Marcos Alonso doing well...

He won't be happy anywhere but they can have him for Griez straight up.

I bet we could turn Benteke into a solid player again. I like having a striker with hold up play.

There just aren't a lot of replacements for someoneike Costa.

Would rather get baby drogba back than benteke, pretty similar players but lukaku is better at just about everything.

Watching Italy in the euros, griez fits contes system perfectly imo. Has a high motor and is plyable into many different attacking areas. Italy liked to bypass the midfiled and boots balls from the cbs into a cf. Dont think benteke had the touch or creativity to play that role, though i thought the same of diego and hes done really well at it.

Everton won't let Lukaku go though. He is clearly the better player. Benteke could be seen as excess and possibly a January move could happen.

Griezman is a damn good player but he adds another slasher rather than a big body. Pedro, Hazard, and Willian are three solid bodies in that type of role. I guess Griezman would see Willian to the bench to pair with the other two. I would of course love someone with the quality of Griezman but I would prefer someone with hold up play. Any chance Benzema is looking to move?

Everton isn't going to have a choice if they can't make Champions League. I don't want Lukaku, but he'll likely be leaving soon.

With a win and an Arsenal loss we can go next ne points clear tomorrow. I would not have thought it possible at the beginning of the season.

Great win today. Ivanovic has not been superb as a RB the last few years, but he's been a magnificent servant to the club. So happy he scored if this was, in fact, his last game for the club.

Just follow the team to every game the rest of the year.

I know Hazard got lots of praise for his goal today, and rightfully so, but Pedro and Kante were superb. Just wanted to shout them out.
