Excuse my ignorance but can you get caped in friendlies? Cuba game and New Zealand ssound like great opportunities to cap some players like CCV and Gooch.

Thanks...
So with no incentive for bringing in new players you are just going to work with Chemistry. Maybe try to bring in a previously caped left back, to see if he allows the movement of Chandler to Wing /outside midfielder for Cuba and New Zealand...

Do you mean cap-tie? Because every international appearance, friendly or not, is called a 'cap'.

I absolutely despise how you're using the term 'caped' in sentences.

Well, we have a few guys that CAN play there. Garza, Besler, Acosta, Lichaj, Ream. I don't think any are better than Johnson.

He meant Johnson instead of Chandler. We can stop mentioning Chandler.

You can get capped in a friendly. Being "capped" means making an appearance on the field.

Now, to be "cap-tied" to one country, you have to appear in a FIFA-sanctioned event.

For example, we can call CCV into the October camp and he can play in both matches, but he could still accept call-ups to England if he so chooses.

Ream and Besler are nowhere near as good of LB's as Fab. In fact, I'd take Fab at LB over any of those guys if everything else is situated.

That said, I want Fab on one of the wings, or at the very least have depth at that spot for once, so we need to give those guys some more run and see if any of them can make it their own.

ETA: I thought FM meant Fab for some reason, didn't pick up on the Chandler Frankenstein reference. Whoops.

Against Mexico, I would be OK with Fab starting at LM/LW. In the second half, sub off the LB, move Fab back, put Pulisic in. Give him at least 30 minutes. Put him in at halftime if we are losing.

I was scrolling down praying someone didn't correct him so I could be the one to do it

ETA Pulisic has to start

ETA2 My MacBook and iPhone autocorrect Pulisic to Politic every time and it is infuriating.
