Damned no matter how we try to play them. I guess we could blame wood and jones for getting suspended but our midfield is non existent

You serious? We can't blame him for starting 3 players that can barely hang against CONCACAF teams?

I praised jurgy for the consistent lineups after Colombia.
Tonight is definitely on him.
Do they outclass us? Yes.
Did he hamstring us with the lineup? Absolutely.

Coach should do the best he can with what he has. Jurgen tarded out with the lineup.

I'd feel better about it if I knew why Bradley was encouraged to press Mascherano and leave Beckerman's slow arse to defend a shite ton of space on his own

The only subs were zusi who has been arguably our best midfielder tonight and wondo who got all the way back and took a yellow card to stop messi from dribbling into our own box full speed (which wood wouldve never got back for)

Yes messi made the free kick but at the time it was probably a good decision

Beckerman has been bad but we dont have a lot more options on defensive mids

Didn't that move start by Wondolowski playing a 40 yard ball directly to Lavezzi?

He put together the team. He put together the lineup.

I can take being beaten but not embarrassed like this on home soil.

Beckerman was a consistent starter in our world cup run. I guess its fun to imagine we wouldve started a 17 year old attacking mid over him vs Argentina but no coach was going to do that

Wondo and bervkerman belong at a local indoor soccer league, not on a us roster

Yeah, 2 years ago. He's 34 now. He could have started a 25 year old attacking mid over him and we would have been better off.

We dont have a single player that would make the top 50 for argentina lol who did u want us to bring that is better than argentinas best XI?

I guess ive had it beaten into me by playing football manager for thousands of hours, but u dont beat teams with massively more talent than u by playing ur most wide open attacking players and tactics.

Nagbe, Besler, and Pulisic/Zusi would make it a lot closer.
