Can we talk about how well Darlington Nagbe played last night.

And where he fits within the USMNT set up?

Played centrally, as a deep lying play maker, for most of the match. Moved out to LW in the later stages. I do not get to watch Portland play very often, so I don't really know if last night was an aberration or more of the same.

He isn't scoring goals like he did last season, but he displays great touch and the ability to create for others. Technical wise he's better than anyone on the USMNT except for Fabs probably. One thing he does show that our team doesn't have is his understanding of spacing and timing runs. He can stay on ball long enough for others to create or he can take defenders 1 on 1. He and Lleglet would be a breath of fresh air and a dream come true on the wings, but I'll lower my expectations because i don't expect a call up for either of them with Jurgen.

He could play LM, RM, or CAM with this team

I would love to see him in the middle with Jones and Bradley.

If feel like he should get one for these qualifiers. No point in waiting now. No confederations cup. That lost to Mexico was the end of an Era. Dempsey, Jones, Beasley, Beckerman it's no point in calling them back up again. Time to start fresh with some of our current pieces and a new crop of guys.

Like I said, I do not get to watch him week in week out, but after last night's performance, I'll be pretty shocked if he's not called in next month.

We can only hope. It sucks that we're about to miss out on a future CM Poku. We didn't have a chance with him not having citizenship yet. Ghana jumped on that opportunity.

Should be perfect at center back for Jurgen.

Almost the same story I believe with Manneh for WFC.

Nagbe balled out of control yesterday no doubt. That was a big win for Portland in that spot.
