“I think (Pulisic and Kljestan playing centrally) is an obvious option for our team,” Arena said. “You play both of those players, you could look at a formation of 4-1-4-1, but there are other methods of playing both of them in the center midfield. Clearly, it’s something we’re going to look at.”

Arena did not specify a position for Johnson yet, though he emphasized he and Johnson plan to keep the Borussia Monchengladbach player at whatever spot is decided, rather than moving him around.

“I met with Fabian in Germany this past month and I asked him the same question,” Arena said. “His answer to me was, ‘I can play either position. I just would like to play one of them and have a little consistency in where I play with the national team.'"

Bet most the squad is echoing this sentiment.

I am very confused. Is our national team manager supposed to have common sense?

Unreal...it's so obvious that these players want one place, but we had a moron as a coach

The Kljestan and Pulisic was not a discussion that Arena brought up but a question that went something like could you see a formation where they would both play centrally. Arena has previously spoken of Pulisic as being a wing player who is playing very well for his club team. The goal.com article was written from a US soccer facebook live interview of Bruce. I believe the questions came from a everyday fans not even a soccer sports writers. The same interview brought a question that Bruce ignored about when would he "sack Bradley".

I am expecting a flurry of angry TD posters to be upset with Arena for suggesting that he will look to play Pulisic out of position.

The difference with Arena will be if playing someone in a different position doesn't work he will likely abandon that strategy and not continue to go back to it.

If Arena plays Pulisic as a lone striker, d-mid or outside back, yes people will complain.

That should be a pretty simple expectation.

The idea is that Pulisic will eventually move to the center as he gets older. I don't have a problem with what Arena said. I don't think you will see Pulisic start at CAM in March. He may get put there later in the game, though.

This comment from Fabs pisses me off about the whole Jurgen-era.

It underscores how incredibly lacking in managerial ability JK was.
