Behind only Argentina and Brazil. I get the home field advantage thing, but really?

Makes some sense, but what about the smart bettors that know the US has no shot to win the tournament? Chile, Uruguay & Columbia (all with worse odds than the US) are far more likely to win the whole thing, right? I guess the dumb bettors outnumber the smart ones by a lot. Not sure which of those columns I fall under

One thing I have learned from about a decade of winning & losing sports bets (more of the latter, obviously), is that Vegas knows what they're doing.

What kind of dirt does Dunga have on Brasil's FA is what I'm wondering

There is a saying we gamblers use, and it applies to those odds.

Yes sir, I'm quite familiar.

I like to think of myself as a fairly smart dude, but it took far too long for me to realize this fact - Sometimes, the best thing to do on a number that looks too good to be true is to just say no and move on

Sadly, Mexico probably has more of a homefield advantage than we do, considering the sites.

Mexico also is in incredible form. While the US has looked good in the past week, they've been looking better since Gold Cup (where they were awful). Although, they haven't lost a game since June of last year, so we need to show up prepared if we face them later on.
