In a plan believed by the 14 others to be supported by Manchester United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, the Premier League is proposing to end the system by which money from international TV rights sales is shared equally by all 20.

Richard Scudamore, the Premier League’s chairman, is understood to have presented a proposal to a meeting of the other 14 clubs held at the Pullman hotel in London on Wednesday, for 35% of the next international TV money to be distributed according to “merit” – in other words, where clubs finish in the league.

Share the money equally.
I say this even as a fan of Tottenham.

The little dogs even being semi-competitive on any given day is what makes the Prem special. Don't handicap them more than they already are.

PLEASE share all of the TV money equally. I don't want to see a few select clubs have even bigger advantages. The depth of the Prem is one of the major benefits. It also allows for a newly promoted team to get a bigger benefit of staying up and helps the clubs on the way down get back.

I say this as a Chelsea fan...

As an Arsenal fan, having more money in Kroenke's pocket does us no good. At least give me competitive matches. So, I'm against this as well.

Share equally, but cut the league to 16, and relegate 2 annually.

So if you would do that, the league would be cut from 38 games to 30 per team. Which would result in 140 less games per season overall (think I did that math correctly). Thereby, each team would receive less money per game.

I'm assuming it's paid by game and not lump sum.

And even if it was lump sum, I would imagine the cable companies would renegotiate the deal to compensate.

I honestly have no clue if it's by game or lump sum, but I know it's by game on Football Manager. So I'd assume that's correct
