If Arteta is back, it'd be nice to ease him back in vs WBA.

Perfect spot to have him get some time.

probably. Kris Olsson is a good bet to feature too. Hayden isn't a bad guess. Read some Arsenal youth blog this morning (on new CB signing Semi Ajayi who has been great for our U21s, can't find the link) which said Hayden projects more as a DM. Ajayi has been very good, is 20yo, former Charlton academy guy. he might get a run out too based on current form.

just fyi, Arsenal Player finally posted the U21 highlights from the West Brom game from last week. check them out (even a digital membership is probably worth it for reserves highlights, on demand matches, etc).

the actual highlights are about 5 minutes long. Gnabry played a ridiculous ball into Ryo which allowed him to round the keeper. He was wide open, empty goal, 6 yards out...and missed. one of the worst misses i've ever seen.

Gnabry then showed a bit of skill, cut inside and curled a shot just wide.

Gnabry then (yeah, i'm saying that a lot ) had a ridiculous volley for the goal. Hayden played a brilliant and perfect long ball and Gnabry's technique was excellent.

Akpom had a bad miss on a Gnabry cross he must not have thought would get past the defender.

Akpom had another miss on a tougher diving header off a really good Bellerin cross. (hope Bellerin gets some CAC PT).

Looked like Olsson was playing beside Frimmy and Eisfeld was in the no. 10 role. Could be a preview of how they'll line up next week.

Sweet how a lot of people are pimping this as the group of death, but not one game is being broadcast live to the majority of cable providers. Good on ya, Fox.

Yeah, totally. I mean Basel is a decent side and I like watching them play, but there are better matchups.

it really was.

he's like the prospect at AAA who's got a 300/400/500 split. time for him to get the call up to the big leagues to see if he has what it takes. playing reserve matches isn't going to help him take that next step.

Those are some bonerific passes to set up those chances.

God damn Ryo.

Gnabry needs a loan if he isn't going to play for us.

btw, we have 10 consecutive road wins. club record.

according to the most recent financial reports, we will have 80m to spend over the next 12 mo. we should make another run at Lars Bender, focus on a striker/wide player to pair with Ozil, and try and get a big time young CB and RB.

Our record the last 18 matches is 15 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss. That sort of form would put us at around 99 points over a 38 game season.

Two things stand in this squad's way: squad depth and the fact we play like balls during the winter. Hopefully our British core can mitigate our shitty winter form and we have some players step up to fill in squad places until the transfer window opens.

if everyone was back in December that'd really help with rotation. I think everyone is scheduled to be back by then (minus Diaby, who knows) but we'll pick up other knocks in all likelihood. Seems like fatigue more than anything crushes us over the winter break.

this team can win something(s) if we don't crash and burn with fatigue until guys come back.
