yeah, saw this yesterday.

Good for him. Let´s hope it works out better than Altidore´s stint at Vila-real.

Here's an interview with him. Seems like he's got a good head on his shoulders.

Said the U.S. U-18's held their own against guys from big clubs and that in a few years we'll be right there with him. If we keep getting guys like him and solid youth academies I would have to agree.

Very likeable guy. Well spoken, and sounds hungry (ambitious). Good stuff.

I posted this in a thread the other day and I guess it got buried. I did some research on him. Apparently Atleti spotted him warming up and immediately was interested. Must be pretty skilled

I'm sure they also watched him play a bit against Spain, Argentina, and the Canary Islands.

Well yeah, of course but that's apparently what caught their eye. Would have meant nothing if he didn't put in good performances after that

He'd fit in on the OT, he has a few pictures making fun of cargo shorts

for real, the development is taking off. One of my friends is in Spain right now playing for ODP. It shows they are more serious about soccer here now than maybe 5 years ago.

With a Regional ODP team? They've always done that

Yeah, at various times in Madrid´s Barajas airport (now Adolfo Suárez Barajas), I´ve seen kids from St. Louis, Chicago, Dallas and LA.

Could have just been regular teams. They do that too. A New Orleans club used to send their U15s to the Netherlands
