I mean i think Jimbo would do a pretty good job here. We'd have an occasional 8-4 year with a young team or rebuilding defense (like his fla st. team this year) but it would be more akin to our 2004 season where we looked like shite in a couple games but you knew the program was in good hands.

Herman is definitely the sexy hire. Reminds me of Urban back in 2004/05

I wouldn't be opposed to promoting Aranda for that very reason

I don't count Jimbo as realistic. My dad knows his brother, and his brother said that Jimbo coming to LSU wasn't a real possibility last year.

It would not shock me at all if that wasn't the plan from the start (that Aranda was going to be coach if Miles was fired last year, and came last year to be bedded in.

I hope Aranda is here for a while but you gotta think the next hire is a true offensive mind (a la Herman)

Really like Aranda tho. Feel like both he and Frank are guys that could be the HC down the line

I haven't watched an LSU game in 4 years. It doesn't seem like I've missed much.

You haven't. I haven't CARED since 1/9 but I have watched every televised game since about 1989. 4 years old. Next weekend i will miss my first game since i will be in Colorado with my cousin, and even though i have been kindly pointed in the direction of an LSU bar in Denver, i will not watch.

I went to that Arkansas game last year. I was in a box seat and that game was still a miserable experience.

I went to Les' last game, and it hasn't really sunk in yet. Can't believe he's gone. He's been there since I was in middle school.

That's an excellent analogy.

I'm honestly freaked out by this. I've spent all afternoon watching old LSU games. God damn some of those games from 2005, 2006, and 2007 were fun as hell. Also that was a different Miles. He was fun. Something made him scared I think. He, like all of us, was a shell of a man after 1/9/12.

It's probably for the best that Jurgen was not also fired today, but because the death by orgasm count would be too damn high.

The 2006 Tennessee game...final drive of that game is so epic. Jimbo

Fwd to 2:25:30

Of course that game was littered with turnovers and penalties...like most of them. Those were some good teams though. LSU Football was fun for a while under Les.

I think a big piece of him died in 2008.
