i've heard him a couple times during the euros and he's a prick. any time the other announcer says something he tries to act like he doesnt know what he's talking about.
i'm surprised the other guy hasnt punched him in the face lol

Yeah he's pretty much universally hated.

I think Burley could parlay this 2016 Euro performance into something a little bigger than ESPN FC on the mothership.

I literally LOATHE this guy. He is what is wrong with America.
Not him, of course, but the idea. Why must we have a Venezuelan call our game? Or even comment about the USA national team at all? Do we not have enough Americans who truly truly care? Moreno played for Venezuela...he has ties to Venezuela...why the frick is he commentating on US games!?!? It drives me insaneeeeeee. He sides with Columbia about bitchy things they do, because thats how he grew up playing the game! We have a different style and different view in the states.
I have no idea why ESPN allows him so much time on normal soccer shows and not just ESPN Deportes. For God's sake he used to be that main person who covered our arch rivals to the South. IT MAKES NO frickING SENSE!!!

I'm sure there are plenty of former American players that would love to have his spot but he probably get paid far less then they would. ESPN also seems to enjoy employing people that piss viewers off, it's the only reason I can see that Steven A. Smith and Jemele Hill have jobs.

I don't get why they have so many non-native English speakers on Fox and ESPN soccer coverage. I'm ok with accents (Moreno is more along that line), but guys who have trouble forming coherent thoughts have no business on English broadcasts.

I totally agree...I hate this guy too. he's so annoying and it's not just what comes out of his mouth it's that he doesn't shut up!! He's the color commentator for the love of God! Add some insight, make your point and STFU...don't ramble

I hate how he talks like he was one of the greatest to ever play instead of some scrub who scored all of 52 goals in 272 MLS games. I will also never forgive him for missing a wide open goal that would have put the Dynamo up 3 in the first leg of the 2007 CONCACAF Champions' Cup semifinal.
