What are your thoughts on the men’s national team? You said last year that you thought Coach Jurgen Klinsmann should not use so many dual-national players on his team. Do you still feel that way?

Do I agree with everything Jurgen has done? No, I do not. It’s just my opinion, and I’m entitled to that. It feels a little bit odd to me that you have some guys that have never lived in the United States that play for the United States because they were able to secure a passport. To me, that just feels like they weren’t able to make it for their country and earn a living, so they’re coming here.

But do they have that killer instinct? I don’t know. I’d love to sit down with Mix Diskerud and some of these other guys and talk to them about it. I’d love to understand how much they love their country. I believe they can have love for both countries, but I’d love to hear it, and I think so many other people would, too. If this is an ignorant opinion, I’ll raise my hand in the end and say, “My bad.” But I’d want to have that conversation.

ETA: It's a good interview outside that, though. She opens up about her addiction to painkillers and alcohol. She is six months sober which is really cool.

So, she brings up this point, but then uses Mix Diskerud as her example. A player who (A) Has lived in America more than he has lived in Norway (B) Would easily feature for Norway if he chose them and (C) Has gotten lost in the shuffle in the USMNT depth chart.

The USWNT sure do have quite a few dislikable players. I guess the good news is the 3 I am thinking of are all in the twilight of their careers or finished.

Look...shes not necessarily wrong. It is a little odd. And you guys know we only like it cause they make our team better lol.

I get pissed off at all the Mexican-American's who were born in Arizona that cheer for El Tri over the USMNT. This is the same thing.

The irony being that we have a GK in camp right now who was born in Mexico to caucasian American parents and is quoted as saying he feels more Mexican than American.

On the surface, I get Abby's point to a degree, but then you see cases like Terrence Boyd, a dude who is gushing with American pride, and you realize just how much playing for America does mean to a lot of these dual-nationals.

If she really wants that answer, perhaps she should sit down with Jermaine instead of Mix. Or hell, maybe sit down with her own teammate Sydney Laroux.

The USWNT have gotten quite obnoxious lately. With Wambach(retired), Solo, Rapinoe, etc. Just shut the Fukk up and play soccer.

I honestly don't think I've hated anyone in pro sports more than Abby Wambach. She's a literal cu*nt. Rapinoe is up there, but Wambach is the absolute worst.

That must be awkward for her in public. Especially places like church, or when she was a kid in elementary school.

After he was invited by Parma when he was 12. He's a bit of an in-between case too. What upsets people is that he says he feels American despite playing for Italy.

I never really hated on Rossi too much because after all, if i had been a young star soccer player, i would have been eligible to play for France through my grandparents(and Scotland thru my mom). I mean if i was his age at the time and france, fresh off a world cup and euro asked me to play it would certainly turn my head. but i wanna say I'd have chosen usa.

Fwiw on fifa 2003 i used to pretend I played for Scotland

She sat at the table next to me at a pizza restaurant last week. The pizza was delicious.

Ultimately I'm fine he chose who he chose. I'm more upset about Subotic, since was bred through our system.

But you do make a good point. His dad was fresh off the boat Italian and loved the Azzurri, so it would be hard to resist.

Mix grew up in Norway. He has not spent more time in America than he has over there.

Yeah damn those ugly lesbians on the USWNT for their opinions! All the rapists, gang members, murderers, child abusers and wife beaters in the NFL and NBA are way better!
