Villa should be down to 10 men and United with a penalty. Not sure what the ref was looking at.

I don't think Pool was as bad as they looked. They were getting worked in the first 20 minutes, but they settled down and they created two brilliant chances that they fluffed. Coutinho's movement was excellent and he showed up either side of Coqeulin to get little passes that Pool should have done better with. If they converted those early chances the game would have been much different.

I will still never understand why we insist on playing Mertesacker in a high line. Not much else to complain about though.

Does Mignolet have some sort of problem moving to his right? Every goal was to his right, though I don't think he could have done anything about any of them other than Ozil's.
