Respectfully disagree... It is what he excels at.. He is the epitome of a ball playing CB.. that also happens to be a big, physical CB too..

Lennon, Deila, and Koeman have all even used him in midfield and as a forward at times because of his skills.

Yea I've watched him a lot and did see him at DM.

I can see him plugging into the pedro/willian role on the right, but not sure they need him...

yeah, thats his best position... but he played on the right at Porto and those chelsea "two" play more as inside forwards and not touch line wingers..
They could probably just hand over the Oscar money and come out the better for it..

I just can't see him being a Conte player. I guess he could play RW, but that would mean whoever is playing RWB is going to defend A LOT by himself.
If we're willing to spend that kind of money, I would much rather invest in a legit CB or a more dynamic box-to-box midfielder who adds more going forward than Matic but works harder without the ball than Cesc.

Conte is going to build Juve West, and dominate the league. He's already opening up a big league and the guy still doesn't have his last 3 or 4 piece to his puzzle in yet.
Not sure why they would purchase James from Madrid, i think he fits LaLiga soccer much better than EPL.
Vidal rumors to chelsea would be a huge move for them. Vidal is the ultimate troll on the pitch, he gets people wound up, and can play back, or move up and get big goals.
