RE Diego Costa

The Guardian reports ´Chelsea aims to close the Diego Costa deal´

and Spain´s As says Atlético denies there is an agreement, and they´re expecting Simeone to convince him to stay.

WC year. Will be condensed and intense. The number of flash in the pans, signed based upon an unforeseen strong WC showing, could be important, as well.

ban bet??

You are delusional, he grew up a blue but chelsea told him he was too small and not good enough for their youth academy. He's got an ax to grind.

If we want him he'll be at Chelsea. If not you guys can have him. I don't take the Internet seriously enough for ban bets.

If it came down to a bidding war, do you really think you can win.

Wait...what? If it came to a bidding war of course Chelsea could think they would win. I seriously doubt Man U would pay that much over 30 mil for an 18 year old LB. You can keep trotting out FFP but Chelsea will move anyone if they feel that the price tag for Shaw is justified.

27m is already pretty close to insane.

Bruh, this is CHELSEA.

And I agree with Foobud, 27M is insane for Shaw.

That would be a total Moyes move. Baines is 29, and though he is still awesome, can't have more than 3 years left.

There are some pretty good LB's out there. Alberto Moreno, Jetro Willems, Ricardo Rodriguez (who is awesome) and more. Rodriguez had a way more productive season than Shaw and could probably be got for less than 15m, though I think he is about to blow up. But he isn't English, which I think is key.

Want.

I know SCH will disagree with me because I guess getting English guys, even though United didn't develop them, is so important...but Rodriguez is an incredible back who is exactly what United need right now compared to Shaw. Cheaper, too.

Jetro has a lot of upside from what I read.
