From Anzhi? Lacina Traore might be worth a punt. I'd take Willian and Ahmedov too. At cut rate prices of course.

I don't know what's going to come of it, he said like 3 or 4 times this summer when all the rumors started that he had no desire to leave and wanted to fight for his spot. He still hasn't been fit this preseason, so I'm not sure why Pep is so insistent to sell him. Our Brazilian contingent are great friends and all seem to really love it, but I know that playing in the WC means a lot to Goose and I'm sure he'll need to be in top top form for next summer. That probably means playing at another club.

Doesn't Arsene not sign players who are taller than he is? Pretty sure Traore is bigger than Mertesacker.

Whats going on at Anzhi? I saw that they fired Remy Muelenstein after like two weeks. They also have Samba, Lass Diara, and Boussoufa.

Their owner is crazy or something. I'm not sure.

Traore would be awesome, if only for the novelty. He has decent control for a man his size.

After it looked to be dead, Fulham are apparently close to sealing the Darren Bent deal. Jol says he hopes to have it done by the end of the week.

Adel Taarabt is set for a medical at Fulham for a season-long loan from QPRse.

Also, Interwebz rumors say Galatasaray have bid £2m for Kerim Frei. They are going to have to at least double that.

Frei didn't play much last year did he? What are your thoughts on him? He's looked full of potential the few times I've seen him play.

Fulham is now pretty much the only option for Bent, so I'm hoping the deal goes through. Bent and Berbatov paired up top together a few years back at Spurs, although Bent wasn't ever really able to make the break through there.

Frei is very talented with a lot of potential. Many in FFC circles, though, think Kacaniklic is the better prospect. Hence, he has struggled to crack the team.

I, myself, still love Frei as a prospect and want him to stay on. Granted, if the fee is right, I wouldn't be completely heartbroken.

Frei has serious talent. I think you guys would be nuts to let him go. Sign him to a contract, get him some damn PT (and stop struggling to avoid relegation), and sell him later at a huge markup.

Luiz wants to leave so I hope it gets done.

A back 4 of Alba, Pique, Luiz, and Alves would make me feel much better going into the season.

Pedro---Messi---Alexis

Iniesta---Busquets---Xavi

Alba---Pique---Luiz---Alves

---------Valdes---------

This would be a great lineup with Neymar and Fabergas coming off the bench.

I assume that Alexis would start the season in the Starting 11 but that will change quickly.

Argentines and Brazilians don't like each other much so Tata may do it just to frick with Neymar.

Regarding Luiz, I was told by a friend who keeps up with transfer news that he wanted out. I'll search for a link after lunch.
