That's great and all, but that doesn't change the fact that the previous statement was wrong.

It was a knockout game in a major tournament, even if the tournament is under the other 2 in importance the statement said knockout games since 06. Spain & the US both had their A team. All there is to it, pretty simple.

To give you an idea the amount of importance attached to the confed cup outside the USA, I watched the games that you're referring to, and I just forgot about them. I lived in London for 27 years. It's just a glorified kickabout, it's a series of friendlies with a trophy at the end. In terms of importance, it's WC, regional trophy and then nothing. Unless you consider England's last major trophy to have come in 1997

Crap guys I guess that run we had didn't mean anything, we should probably never bring it up again. After all Mephistopheles lived in London for 27 years so obviously he can speak for the rest of world on soccer related matters. Oh well.

Was it a knockout game? yes or no.

yes.

Therefore previous statement is false. That's all I'm saying.

no, she's been truthful. you forgot her complete quote though. I'm sure she said:

'your condition is quite acute.'

Says the suburban Georgian.

USA worked Spain's A squad. Deal with it.

he was as much a LF/LW as Silva is, and better at it.

I don't think there's any reasonable way to argue against this.

Since you're the resident Spain fan, how would you break down this matchup?

I would say Spain has a huge advantage at keeper, but Brazil has an enormous advantage offensively.

Defense and midfield are harder for me to decide. Spain is better in possession, but I'd take Brazil's midfield in the attack.

I'd still take Brazil to win more than they lose.
