they loaned their best striker out instead of their 4th best because Jose was afraid of özil. pretty sweet deal.

Hell of a tard move. If Lukaku was at Arsenal, Wenger would have built the team around him.

well it was total bullshite to be fair. wish dortmund could have gotten a point today but it doesnt worry me at all with everything that happened. if hummels is seriously hurt, that would kind of blow, though.

Why are so many of you watching shitty streaming feeds? Directv has every game in HD. No excuse unless you live in a cave.

Real talk though, that call was terrible Ramsey got all ball

Yep. Mertasacker was being held and kicked in the face, no call. Ramsey had possession and was called for a PK. Don't really care. Three points on the road.

Atléti´s Adrián is being operated on, for that pop in the eye socket he took. Good luck to him.

About to watch this match now. For some reason, the Nápoles match didn´t tape.

For sure, and it was on the road against a good team, so I'm not exactly sure they planned on winning this one in a convincing fashion. I'm sure they fancied a draw. I didn't get a chance to watch, but I heard they settled down and played quite decently in the second half.

Dortmund played decently well in the first half even if Reus was really poor but I say that considering them a slight underdog against Napoli at San Paolo.
They created some pretty good chances off turnovers with their high press. Their problem was that Napoli were handling the pressure well enough to set up way too many breakaways and getting Insigne (who was the best player on the pitch tonight) into a lot of space.

The red card on Weidenfeller kind of ended the match but it wasn't out of the blue, so to speak, as Napoli had barely missed breaking the pressure for 1 on 1s with the GK a few times before that.

Not sure I'd say they played better in the second half as they did create a few chances here and there (mainly due to Aubameyang) but most of the half was Napoli playing ping pong inside of Dortmund's 18 until Rafa subbed out attackers at 75-80 minutes.

This is a fun group. I'm always saying that the CL should let a couple more clubs from all the bigger leagues into the playoff field and so can get more evenly stacked groups like this where every match is promising.

Also, I wouldn't count Marseilles out of having a large part to play in the outcome of this group. They'll definitely take points at home in some of those matches.

Yeah, that was huge for Arsenal. I wouldn't be shocked if it's the only 3 road points of the group.

Still awaiting Basel´s first goal. They look serious, well disciplined.

Chelsea doesn´t have Mourinho raw material, that´s for sure. I don´t know what´s been in their minds with these signings.

Luíz created that first goal, but damn, if he isn´t a liability at times, as well.

That Egyptian on Basel is about to get paid. Full of piss and vinegar, and pace, and obviously, must be of a better than average technical level.

ETA A shite ton of top shelf quality, but Chelsea look dreary.

Salah is the Egyptian winger. He's been good every time I've seen him play. I mentioned him among players Roma should have looked into this summer.
Chelsea needs to buy him before the return leg.

Basel is a pretty solid squad. I like how their manager, Yakin, always has them playing with a lot of balls.

I also enjoy watching their DLP Marcelo Diaz. Reminds me a bit of David Pizarro.

Didn't get to see the Chelsea match yet though.

He does look good.

Yakin´s got them very organized and engrained. They´re not from out of this world talent wise, but they know what they´re supposed to do.

Goal, their captain bangs in a header to the close post off a corner.

They wanted it more, Chelsea looked lethargic.
