Get daycare like the fricking rest of the real world.

And how about not having children you can't afford to take care of? Is that too much to ask?

I find this hard to believe unless your living above your means.

We live probably a little outside of our means. But a New Orleans mortgage, flood insurance (required and highest in nation), car insurance (highest in nation) and daycare/private schooling in New Orleans (the bare minimums for a family in NOLA) is expensive, even on a 125k or so budget.

Drove one of those for a while. Good vehicle. Wish they still made them.

Well I bought an Ensign-mobile after my first deployment (just a regular 3-series but pretty tricked out)

I figured you'd have a BMW 3 series, Cadillac CTS, or Infiniti G35 type of vehicle. The Navy guys I know that don't have pickups or Jeeps drive things like that.

Show me the numbers on single dads in the military verse single moms.

There aren't a lot of numbers that I can find.

This site says
quote:

Within the civilian population, there are more single mothers [3]. In the military, however, there are more single fathers. In fact, for every single military mother, there are 2.8 single military fathers

I don't like being typecast. But those are so common in pretty much every area with a lot of govies and military officers that it isn't funny. I had an Infiniti I30 in college that was a huge pain in the arse, so I don't imagine I'll ever own another infinity.

Cadillac CTS
I have literally never seen anyone in the Navy in a Cadillac. Like literally never. Once.

I have one Navy dude that works for me. He drives a CTS-V and his wife just got an Escalade.

So we don't have enough money for the military to fund preschool?

I guess we'll just have to keep cutting the military since there are no programs that cost more than Defense. Oh, wait...

Close enough for government work, baw.

We used a crocodile on a football media guide. We like horseshoes and hand grenades here.

This isn't new. I've counted at least 7 hiring freezes in the last 5 years alone that had a similar effect to this.

One of the former Navy guys I used to work with had a Cadillac performance sedan model that is similar in size to the G35. I'd guess 2005 ish. He took really good care of it.

White dude. Retired Commander.

I did see him eat Popeye's once, though.
