Look,the media pushing the gay agenda, used Michael Sam's sexuality. Michael Sam seemed to be perfectly fine being made into a "gay rights pioneer" because it was better than "mediocre football player". I don't understand why talking about him " getting the D" is of limits. Is it not what they (media and Sam) wanted ?

And then you made an insanely good point. I wish it weren't so difficult to convey this message to people of different groups who are likely to take offense at superficial playground humor like the material on the frat sign in the OP. Most gays take offense at someone saying the F-word, and I understand this because I can see why they would think that behind the utterance of that word may sit a person who, when teamed up with like-minded individuals, can make for a society that discriminates against gay people.

The f-word carries only a superficial meaning to me, and I often use it as a rib with friends. If a gay person overhears me say this and takes offense, I wish I could express to that person that sitting behind the utterance of that word in its applied context is a man to whom the word means nothing because I know that sexuality is but a minor, benign detail about a person's character.

No, he means 'normal', not mainstream. Gays want to be viewed as normal. That's why the push for gay marriage even though very few gays want to be married. It's a push for normalization. On the outside of the circle wanting to get inside the circle.
