Time after time senators (even Grassley) asking if he'll be independent from Trump, perhaps not realizing that they themselves are trying to influence the way Wray will relate to the president. THEY'RE the ones who are pressuring him!

The president nominated Wray. If he wants to listen to the president in regards to this wasteful investigation so be it. That's his choice as head of the FBI, is it not? And if Trump wants to lean on him a little bit...so what? That's why we have elections.

And, frick Lindsey Graham!

I don't get your concern. There is needed independence regarding certain aspects and functions, but that doesn't mean it's completely independent of input and direction. It's not one or the other.

As usual those fricks are simply playing to their base, the media, they try to grandstand and say what they think the media wants, they're disgusting. Can you imagine being such a weasle as gramnesty during your latter years?

The President needs a FBI Director who will be loyal and respect the Office of the Presidency.

Well that would probably fit under the loyalty to the "law, Constitution; and best practices." So if the president makes a request that fits those, then he should follow it. If the request doesn't, then he shouldn't follow it.

like Trump doesnt do it every morning he is on the shitter when he is tweeting. You deride those senators and extol Trump trying to do the exact thing you just complained about. here i will show you your hypocrisy

As usual Trump is are simply playing to his base, the 35 percent who actually believe what he says and tweets, they try to gesticulate and use small words and syntax and say what he knows his base wants, He is disgusting. Can you imagine being such a weasle as Trump right now?

That is a dangerous mind-set.

What we need for FBI is strict adherence to the law - not loyalty to a man or a political agenda.

One place where we don't need "get even with em" is in law enforcement.

STRICT enforcement is plenty enough 'get even with em.'

Jeesh, the FBI has existed what, about 90 years? And about 50 of those it was run by a closeted sociopath who was blackmailing anyone who crossed him -including Presidents- when he wasn't cross-dressing...

And now everyone wants to talk about the requesite integrity of this great agency and it's leaders?

Oh, brother...

The references to DJT, Jr during these hearings are totally inappropriate.

Lindsey Graham was a motherfricking BAUCE in that hearing.

You see..........outside of Trumpkinland even the most retarded non-Trumpsuckers realize that Jr. was a dipshit for taking that meeting. Here in Trumpkinland you're balls-to-chin on Trump 24/7 and you can't see anything but orange belly button.

Sad.

Mmm huh...that is the 'Lindsey Graham/McCain/RINO' version; high-minded, faux-integrity...when they know damn well how the inside game is played up there.

Glowing example: James "above reproach" Comey. Gives the overly corrupt HRC a pass...and then LEAKS on Trump, and publically indicts him in order to get Meuller (His Mentor) appointed as a SC to take Trump down.

Any FBI Director that don't play ball with the corrupt Dems will be FIRED, in short order. Just like the Dems would abandon the Filibuster and invoke the 'nuclear option'/Senate majority to ram through any and all Policy/Appointments....while the gullible and enabling Republicans hobble through with 'respect' for the Minority.

If Wray is honest and administers according to Rule of Law...the first thing he'd do is to recommend to Sessions that a Grand Jury be convened to examine HRC's email corruption...and a Special Counsel to investigate her Campaign's COLLUSION with Ukraine to slam Trump.

Is there anybody on this Board who is truly for Rule of Law...with COMMON STANDARDS for both Parties and all Individuals? The answer is yes...and those fools would be Republicans; people who cling to the false idea that the Dems employ a pernicious and destructive double standard - across the board - and as such...can only be met with a 'fire with fire' strategy.

This stuff makes me wanna puke. But I guess it's a step up over anarchy and bodies rotting in the streets.

Thank God for Faith.

So Mister Constitutional Scholar, show us in the US Constitution where exactly the FBI lies. Under what part of the US Constitution is the FBI granted authority?
