I did serve my Country, back in the late 70's early 80's, my son has been in the AF the past 6 years, son in law was on the ground in Afghanistan, was going to re-up but a hum-ve he was in got blown up and affected his hearing, he is now a history teacher.

I hope no one I care about ever dies fighting on foreign soil.
Would have been bad enough in a conflict like WW2, but now that we all know the sickness at the heart of most of these governments, it would be almost intolerable.

As some have already said, if they come here then sure. I will not leave the US soil to fight anyone for any reason that the government tries to sell us on. There is the propaganda that they feed us as to why we are noble and just, and then there is the truth that they share only among themselves. I will not die or kill for JP Morgan or Lockheed Martin or Goldman Sachs.
There are certainly higher honors than being tricked into inducing gore for the sake of some a-hole's profit or ego. The assholes who would never personally get involved or send any of their kin.
The Christmas Truce of 1914 should have made it evident that it is just people on both sides of the conflict. People who otherwise would have no significant beef with each other. People who find themselves fighting for some other a-hole's agenda. And make no mistake, involuntary enlistment is nothing short of slavery.
