Local, state, federal?
I would maybe consider local level.
I would rather be dead than be a representative or senator. The thought of having to interact with all of those pieces of shite makes me nauseous. No way I would want to be president either.

There are few good politicians, but You have to be a psychopath to be one. You have to be good at lying 24/7 and feel good about yourself for doing it. Doesn't seem like the person I want to be. A lot of under the table perks though.

I would also add that an internet sleuth could easily unmask any one of us on here and make our post history public. I have a feeling that would sink 99% of people here

Would love to be a federal politician. I would not last very long cause I would be outing the rats left and right.

In this day and age, no. There will be skeletons dragged out of your closet that you didn't even know were in there. You entire family will be scrutinized, and I wouldn't want to put them through that. Before the days of the internet? Perhaps. I would rather have some "power behind the throne" role.
I wouldn't want to get involved in local St. Tammany politics, either. Back in the 70's, some of the town elders of Abita Springs wanted my grandfather to run for mayor. My grandmother knew what was up with St. Tammany and state politics, and told him he could have her, or he could be mayor, but not both. He wisely dropped any political aspirations.
