I don't get the point of threads like this
Lewis is a civil rights icon, for good reason. He's a shitty congressman and can't see anything other than race (in part because he got the shite beaten out of him for having the wrong color skin).

John lewis being an icon of the civil rights era does not make him immune from criticism or gives him right to act a fool.
He's done little to push to make life better for African Americans. He looks to keep them shackled to the government tit. He only served his self interests and for those that keep him in power.
He basically has reached clown status. Congrats John lewis.
