You clearly don't understand our relationship with them. China will never, ever call us out on that debt unless something completely unforeseeable on the line of potential Nuclear Holocaust.
Why is China now the largest economy in the world? It because of US investment. The Chinese people are aware of this and are wanting to emulate America. This a two way street. They will never ask for us to repay our debt because our companies have in spades. We're not in debt to them: they're investing in us just as we are investing in them.

Umm, a genius. As I said, our alliance with China has brought the closest thing to world peace that I think is feasible. US would never bail on china. If we wiped out debt, naturally they would quit loaning us $$. We couldn't finance our debt, EBT cards with no $$, Obama phones cut off, SS payments not delivered....our society would quite literally collapse.

Mr Smuggness- exactly how have we "paid off the debt" when we owe them a shiteton of $$?? And no hyperbole about "investments".
We can't be broke, dependent on borrowing $$ and stay the worlds super power. Ask Britain.
