the point is to show that not having a separation between church and state is a bad idea.

Except for displaying the Ten Commandments in courthouses, that's a good idea.

It seems like a really petty way to make a point. That is what our politics has become, I suppose.

How can we separate church and state if liberals worship the government and believe it has almighty powers like God?

May be petty, but it was effective enough to get this board talking about.

As I said, as long as liberals can have their faith and government mixed then so should the Christians.

This is just petty and doesn't advance the conversation in a place it should go. All conversation does not equal constructive conversation.

Since you're differentiating between "liberal faith" and Christianity please tell me what you mean by the former and how it is mixed with government?

If you say, "atheism," then this is for you:

Simply follow the first amendment and the establishment clause and everything's good.

An example, the government can solve all our problems is a pretty strong faith considering math and economics disagree with them.

If you break I down liberals/progressives are not much different than Christians. They want their beliefs enforced by the government.

I don't think any Christians in this story complained about being "downtrodden," but just out of curiosity what other groups do you think are guilty of whining about being "downtrodden" when in fact they are not?
