That's a long list of frick ups (and you left out a ton) that he could have avoided. Just think how long it will extend now.

In whoever made this defense: they probably didn't get their education during the "comon core" era, and there was no common accepted form of core grammar education. Now they just want to go back to not requiring it, cause dammit if we have to be anywhere close to the civilized world in education!!
