I'd like him on the S.Court, he could do more long term good there. Any cabinet position could end up being only for 4 yrs.

I really want to see him get AG.

Failing that, Scalia's USSC spot or replace the fired James Comey as head of the FBI.

Solicitor General for four years, then USSC, assuming he doesn't get the AG gig.

All of this. Gowdy and Cruz would be a nightmare for dems.

Have not really been that impressed with him but could do worse.

There's a little depth on that bench, isn't there?

his name hasn't been mentioned in the top 3 likely candidates. Don't forget, though, we need great people in the HoR too.

He can think circles around criminals. He will wreck this place....in a good way.

He doesn't have academic or judicial experience, so not for SC. He wouldn't want that anyway. He'd be a great AG, only concern would be optics with the ongoing clinton investigation and his involvement.

Rather see him in the Senate if Lindsay graham hopefully retires. I don't know South Carolina politics though.

I see him as either AG or FBI director. Imagine Rudy Giuliani as AG, Trey Gowdy as FBI Director, and David Clarke as Director of the US Marshalls.

Cruz to solicitor would be a step down he should be next senate majority leader. Better to put a younger conservative judge already put through the confirmation and fbi background ck process. There's enough if them out there.
