We’ve already had celebrities and actors elected, and with Herschel Walker, Tommy T and now Aaron Rodgers potentially entering into politics it makes me wonder if a pro athlete could become president one day. I think it’ll happen in the next 50 years. Depending on who it is it may not even be a bad thing. Lots of people probably thought the actor Ronald Reagan wouldn’t be a good president before he was elected and look how that turned out.

Jack Kemp should have been at the top of the ticket in place of Bob Dole.

Don’t think so and most aren’t on our side. Cuban will try and fail big. It’s funny Rodgers has some type of ambition for office, I don’t think he would do well either. He’s just goofy and all he knows is football.

I don't think it'll be anyone you mentioned, but it's certainly possible.

Gerald Ford came very close, but turned down the NFL and wasn't actually elected

According to my daughter Tayler swift would be a great president

Actually, she said she would be way better than the old bad guy there now. I don't want to misquote her

POTUS Trump turned down the Yankees. Said there just was not enough money to be made as a professional athlete.

The Rock would probably win if he ever decided to run.

I think Jordan could have done it at one point.

Maybe Jack Nicklaus or someone affable like that.

Taylor Swift as president would be worse than with Biden.

Steve Garvey is running for Senate in California this November. Would love to see him beat that pencil neck Schiff.

Interesting factoid: When Ford came out of college the NFL was nothing compared to baseball. A ton of great HS football players rejected college scholarships to sign with MLB and start in the minors.
Curt Simmons was a great QB and Penn State wanted him. He turned them down and pitched in MLB for 18 years.

I don’t see why not, given time. Byron “Whizzer” White was a Supreme Court Justice. Senator Bill Bradley played for the Knicks and Jack Kemp played for the Bills. No reason why the presidency would be out of reach. My suspicion is that it’s more likely to be an athlete rather than a coach bc athletes tend to be looking for something else to do by age 40.
