A month in, he wants to can his press secretary, he wants to can one of the retired generals, etc.

This SHOCKS everyone. Why?

Cause people in government don't get fired for incompetence. There is no requirement to be good at your job.

Good for him.

I'm shocked by the Spicer aspect (although I've only seen rumor of it and nothing official from the White House), I've thought he has been doing a great job.

Where have you been seeing talk of "firing people"?

I'm all for it. Too many government folks aren't fired when they should be fired. Get rid of the leaches and let the good folks take those jobs.

I am not gonna believe any of that until it happens. It's all a bunch of speculation and innuendo at this point.

Me too. this isn't meant to be an attack on trump, rather, a show of respect.

The reasons for the firings would be the story, not the firing themselves.

First you go no link. Then, you go blind link to CNN on an issue concerning Trump?

Dude, GTFO with that

Agreed - I like Spicer even though he has tripped over his foreskin a couple of times.

I am concerned about Flynn however - I expect him to resign within a week. The best I can tell, he either lied to Pence or was not completely forthcoming in their discussion of the Russia calls.

I have absolutely no problem with his assuring Russia that the bullshite about 'influencing our election' would not be an issue going forward, but goddammity - you cannot leave the WH out to dry with a false statement or impression.

In that office you tell the whole unvarnished truth, every time, or you get your arse out.

Simple as that.

I hope all this is made up or gross misinterpretation - I like Flynn except for this. But this breach, if true, cannot be tolerated.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't all know exactly what Flynn said on those phone calls.

They need a fall guy now.

It takes a while to get the Apprentice production crew setup in the White House, but I'm pretty sure Trump wants to fire these guy on live TV. The income generated from commercials could go towards building the wall or possibly to a huge sign to be erected on White House lawn before Bibi's visit that says "We Love Our Jews".

I would be surprised if that is true. Nothing they did or said supports that interpretation of events.

They need to set an example that regardless of who you are or what you have done, complete honesty is required when laying out facts for the POTUS and vPotus.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with what Flynn did - if all he did was dismiss the significance of the 'russia influenced the election' bullshite.
