why should we allow millenials to stay on mommy & daddy's insurance until they're 26?

unless they are school
we want lower premiums for everybody - right?
hell, their premiums would be much cheaper anyway, because they are healthier & lower risk
this provision has been left untouched by the House

They shouldn't. If they want to be treated and classified as kids, take away their drinking privileges until they can decide to act like adults.

Entitlements
No matter how stupid the entitlement you can never take it away

Has to be a reason the insurance companies chose 26. To random of a number

There are many things wrong with Obamacare. This is not one or them. Educate yourself.

Most people under 26, if not under parents, would have no insurance at all.
Maybe having parents keeping them on is cheaper than the 26 and under using emergency rooms without insurance?

Because people under the age of 26 account for very little in claims. Also, it isn't like this is free. Their parents still have to pay for it, which is essentially free money for insurance companies. Most under 26 wouldn't get insurance. This is a stupid thread all around which ignores the realities of insurance. Complain about the real bad parts of Obamacare all you want.

why in the world would you care about this?
The options are:
Mom and dad pay the premium OR you pay the premium. Hell, pushbthe age up to Medicare

I was thinking about this during a root canal. Here's what I think- providing bennies to young, entry level folks may make them less attractive hires. If they're covered already it's a non issue.

Maybe because he's ignorant and just wants to complain?

I hear ya. I mean, this doesn't bother me one bit.
There are 7,836 problems with the ACA and this isn't one.

Don't Florida and Texas allow kids to stay on the teat until age 30?
Nanny states.

Literally no claims for people under 30 and parents are paying the premiums Anyway
Posted on 5/3/17 at 10:48 pm to gobuxgo5
Not to mention the more premium the insurance companies collect that they don't pay out will result in LOWER PREMIUMS for those older than 26, but let's not let facts get in the way.
