Evolution is the one that is attacked despite being one of the most extensive studied theories.

People point to little gaps of knowledge or the naturally self-correction of certain very specific aspects of theory since Darwin as evidence that it's not credible. That's a complete misrepresentation of science in many cases.

This is the same exact thing that ignorant liberals broadly say about conservative parenting; maybe you were being ironic.

Regardless, it's an ignorant argument from both sides to broad categorize the other side as bad parents.

Not a joke. Google it. The world just came to an agreement to stop it yet a good portion of American conservatives denies it exists.
