I realize they're on vacation at the moment. But, we're closing in on 100 days, and what part of Trump's agenda has Ryan passed?
Does he even want to pass the Trump agenda?

he is on the hot seat. there was an article about how horrible his approvals are because republicans hate him just as much as democrats

He's the establishment insurance plan. Doubt he's going anywhere.

He and Mitch are slow walking trump. Than when dems win in 2018 the GOPe will say we can't do anything now but you better send money to fight the dems.

Ryan doesn't want to be speaker and he is NOT conservative. He would rather server in congress in a minority leadership position spewing conservative platitudes and not moving the legislative ball right. He just wants to enjoy the spoils of DC. He has no will to pass a conservative agenda.

This is exactly right. Ryan and Mitch would rather serve in minority leadership positions.

Paul Ryan is an example of the GOP doing everything they can to prove the adage that they can't govern.
Hey Paul it's your god damned job to get House Republicans on the same page as the President and the Senate so we can get some conservative items pushed through

Name one legislative item that had broad public support that Ryan stonewalled? Just one.
If the pile of crap healthcare bill that failed wasn't hated by over 2/3 of the people then it would have had a better chance. These guys know that passing unpopular laws will get them defeated when its re-election time.

They would have to actually be at work and in DC for him to be on the hot seat.

the one where trumpkins desperately need a scapegoat for their disappointments in life

he hasn't been much of a leader so far during Trump's term
and that is his job
but he has time to redeem himself

on an abstract level his playing the fence during the election and then trying to sabotage trump at every turn to satisfy his own presidential ambitions in such a transparent way told me a lot about him
he's superficial and calculating, but he stands out for this because either he's exceptional in this regard or he is a fricking retard.

maybe i'm deranged, but i see that as populism in a nutshell, particularly when combined with immigrant-blaming + trade-blaming for the need to make someone "great again"
