I for one, am glad he didn't show. No sense in being a hypocrite about it.
I mean, yeah, he's Commander-in-Chief. But let's not pretend there's any love lost between him and this country's military rank-and-file. By and large, they're as contemptuous of him as he is of them.

I'm glad he's not attending. It would be a cluster for the real fans and a waste of tax dollars.

agree, the fans can certainly do with out him, but I imagine he's wasting as much or more tax dollars at whatever retreat he's golf-campaigning at this weekend.

By and large, your average 20 year old E-4 is thinking far more about next weekend's plans for getting laid than he is about partisan politics.

Because this particular president knows for a fact that the military despises him and his weak, feckless, leftist surrenderist appeasing cowardly ways. I must at least give credit to him for not tainting our service academies with his disgusting presence. He would NOT have been welcome there.
