Flea, Chad Smith, and John Frusciante are extremely talented musicians.

Who said Swift should be a role model? She’s just tabloid fodder.

In reality, she's tabloid fodder. In the minds of millions of young women, she's a role model and hero.

I understand this. If you read my OP, I was actually talking about how parents (millenials/genX), specifically moms have been introducing their daughters to Taylor Swift as a role model, there is a lot of "girl power" energy behind it because she is rich and a big star, and made it "without a man".

This may seem innocent enough, but this is not a message that will ultimately promote stable and normal families. I realize I am coming off as the out of touch prude, but the truth doesn't always vibe with the whatever the current spirit of the age is, and has a tendency to piss people off. I choose to stand with the truth.

I think you're reading into this a little too much.

I’m interested to hear how Swift is wrapped up with Joni Mitchell, Carol
King and Linda Rondstadt. None of those are the same type of star as Taylor Swift. Not at all.

Good question. She’s a little skank.

Some fan chants are just an emphasis on popular lyrics. This is when you’ll notice fans will scream-sing the lyrics a little louder than the rest of the song. If you’d like to partake, there is one line in Swift’s 10-minute version of “All Too Well” that is beloved. It’s when she says, “F*ck the patriarchy” — obviously.

Lyrics: “And you were tossing me the car keys...”

Fan Chant: "F*ck the patriarchy!"

yet together they make vapid, ditzy music. "Give It Away" should have ended their careers permanently.

I think she's celebrated because she's not traditionally attractive. She's relatable. She spurned those racist rednecks in country for Pop. She's a total nerd, but she's also a #bossbitch who uses famous men as album fodder.

She's essentially what the modern militant left-wing feminists wants all young women to be.

One of their best-selling songs should’ve ended their careers?

For most women that's a recipe for long nights with a gallon of Walmart ice cream, box Chardonnay and 12 cats.

And that makes up alot of her fanbase. She’s a 6 so she doesn’t threaten the 6 and under crowd.
