Why don't police withdraw in Black/Blue cities/suburbs?

Most of NYC hates the NYPD.

Most of Philly hates the PPD.

Most of New Orleans hates the NOPD.

Same thing with PG County, MD, Berkley, CA, San Fran, Seattle...

Why don't these police departments close up shop and give the populace there what they want?

Because in Democrat run cities which is basically all of them they want the police to function as their private army. Which they pretty much do. They don’t really care what the people want they’re just useful idiots

If I were a cop in those crap cities, I would coast for a long time. Look at the cops in Seattle for example, protestors blocking the roads harassing everyday drivers and the cops are on the corner texting memes to eachother.

I’d keep myself safe if I hadn’t already left that god forsaken shithole

Those guys are absolutely useless.

I saw a video recently of a protester kick the shite out of a car that was trying to drive around them and two cops twenty feet away just stood there and did nothing. It was pathetic.

Not true. Most of New Orleans supports the NOPD. You sounds like a clueless suburban grump who spends too much time on social media.

Sounds like the driver of that car needed to exercise some self defense then.

one good thing living in a far left city like Portland is the absolute laissez faire policing. No worries about tickets other than red light cameras. No worried about getting stopped for expired plates (I finally updated mine due to work) Metered street parking only just started being enforced again after 4 years, and most locals still don't pay for metro tickets

I used to ride it when I lived in Beaverton. It was nice then.
Has it gotten dangerous to ride?

Nah it's actually gotten better lately. I take it into the city about once a month. This is the best Portland has been since the George Floyd shite in regards to mood of the residents and cleanliness.

Man I used to love Portland…. great walking community downtown, great outdoor activities.

Last went there in 2020 having not been there for 3 previous years. What a disappointment. Area that were normally pristine and safe had become filthy and littered from homeless encampments. Similar to my visit to Denver in 2021.

But I never loved the Denver downtown like I did Portland. The jazz festival in the spring was awesome last I saw. Shout out to Veritable Quandary .

Unfortunately, I’ll never return there…. Unsafe for us tourists
