Taxes are not inherently bad. Most people are opposed to taxes because it feels like a black hole. In LA does anyone feel as if there is any value received for their tax dollars?

No it is not ridiculous because we are also dealing with a major city and its issues. English as a second language alone will cost us millions.

Yeah, but property taxes are killing people in Texas. The government will get its money from you one way or another.
