Honestly, call it whatever your cold, black heart needs to call it in order to make the lives of Americans better.

There is no sustainable healthcare system anywhere where providers aren't at the whim of administrators and ultimately politicians.
First, everything in that statement is relative. Second, in the US, as I've already pointed out to you, that is not true. Third, history demonstrates economic success comes from changes in accepted "system" paradigms.

Major examples?

Prior to 1315 absolute authority of monarchs was the absolute rule.

Prior to 1776, monarchy was accepted as the only workable government.

Prior to the 20th century, female suffrage basically served no role in governance.

Prior to 1966, US medicine achieved greatness via a private model.

We won't ever be able to unwind Medicare/Medicaid, but we certainly could alter mechanisms of remuneration, and reapproach a system taking advantage of the exceptionalist spirit innate in American entrepreneurs.

Commercial insurance is tightly regulated.
Correct! and as we all know overregulation equates to inefficiency 100% of the time. Look no further than the cost of US Medicine as proof.

We have to be accountable to politicians
bullshite! Total bullshite! Politicians have to be accountable to us!

We have to be accountable to the public.
Yes we do. So why are you set on undermining that responsibility?

The government can't even get healthcare right for less than 1% of Americans through the VA yet people still want single payer...

Wow, so much ignorance in one statement.

What are you doing to make those lives better other than try to steal from others to pay for it?

And how exactly does simply having insurance improve life? Insurance does not equal health care. Surely one even as ignorant as you knows this.

All over the country their are county/ charity type hospitals where no one is turned away. Granted those places my not be the Mayo Clinic but people get taken care of...if they show up.

This is the best part of the whole argument. The VA System is an unmitigated disaster, just like most programs run by the government.

Yet BamaAtl and others are convinced the fedgiv will get this right. It is truly delusional.

The left will push for a single payer by promising everyone the Mayo Clinic. But the fact is, it will be giant miracle if they even delivered something as awful as the VA.

I'm just amazed you didn't lie about this one. Except that you did. Annual limits on medical? Where are those?

Your interpretation of that graph is stunning.
BamaAtl was appropriately eviscerated when he posted the same BS a while back. Hopefully, you'll get a kinder, gentler treatment here.
But good Lord, did you actually post it twice?

Here is an equally relevant association:

You make a mistake if you think BamaAtl believes "the fedgov will get this right." His motivations have nothing to do with "getting it right". He's keenly aware the chance "the fedgov will get this right" is about akin to his shot at winning the lottery.

Sadly, his motivations revolve solely around redistribution of resources from you to him.
That's it.

They get a lot of consideration because they drive a lot of the cost increases we have seen over the years.

No matter what is done in Washington the fact of the matter is that people get treatment for all kinds of conditions whether they can or will pay for that treatment. If you doubt this then please explain the number of medical collections that occur in the US every year. This is the 800 pound gorilla in the room. Every time a medical bill goes to collections those of us wh pay our medical bills pays more.....just like shoplifting drives up the costs of everything for everyone at Walmart. Those of us who pay our medical bills are either going to pay for those who won't or can't along with the cost of collections OR we can face reality and pay for their health care up front. We are going to pay either way.

It would, of course, be nice if people would simply not shoplift.....but they do and the rest of us pay.

Single payer would harm every citizen making more than $30k/yr by doubling their taxes.

Not even close. And, what tax increase there was would be significantly offset by not having to pay health insurance premiums, which are higher than the taxes people pay for health care in single-payer countries around the world.

More propaganda. Do you see the flaw using "around the world" in comparing to the US healthcare system.

If your idea was true why did CA stop with the single payer notion? Was it because it was too affordable and taxes would actually be lower?

So the GOP rewards Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan for voting for Trump by ripping away $23 billion in medicaid/medicare funds from them. Wonder if they'll remember that in next year's elections?
