Its not actually idolization its white supremacy. They dont expect much from black people. When a black person actually is excellent or is elevated to a high position of power they gush with excitement.

Because they are racist and scared of black men. And way too cowardly to admit it and/or speak of it or address it in any way. Those of us (regular white dudes in my case) who see them as other ordinary guys like me don't feel the need to overcompensate
