Why do liberals want to ban guns in America?

Why do hardcore liberals and some members of the Democratic and Green Parties want to ban guns in America? Is that their end game? Why every gun tragedy has to lead with "Ban guns", "abolish the Second Amendment"?

Its just typical state propaganda that wants to disarm the people so it can control them easier. The excuses are different but the end game is always the same. While guns in everyones hands will cause some problems, guns in only the all powerful states militarys hands with no resistance from the people will lead to a great revolution where hundreds of thousands must die.

Because if you can take away our arms, then it will be easier to take away other rights in the future.
That is one of the reasons the 2nd Amendment was created. It is one of many checks by the citizenry against a possible hostile and unlawful government.
Hell, it is why the WHOLE Constitution was created, to keep the government in check.

Because by their logic if there were no guns their could be no shootings. It makes sense in theory. Unfortunately, life isn't lived "in theory"

This is not going to end well for you. The number of guns the guy had is going to be interesting. Did it ever dawn on you that maybe, just maybe, he bought every damn one of them LEGALLY? You don't want gun control, you want all firearms banned in the states. Drink a beer and worry about the muzzies taking over the fatherland, your home!

They want lots of things. They won't get guns. They may get more restrictions that keep poor people from getting guns and that will be OK because I'll revel in their hypocrisy.

Gun control would also limit numbers of weapons. No-one needs 10 guns as an individual. Maybe one pistol for home protection and one rifle for hunting. I have never supported banning all guns, heck in most European countries gun ownership is - believe it or not - completely legal. They just don't allow people to buy 10 of them or cop killer bullets or buy them if people are mentally ill.
